Why did the Apostles Reject Paul? Dear Reader: I would like to share with you why I, personally, have come to the conclusion that Paul's theology differs substantially from the faith of Jesus*, and therefore cannot be considered Christian. What follows is the result of many years of study and inner struggle. I assure you that when I first addressed the issue of the validity of Paul's apostleship, it was very difficult for me to find the courage to disagree with what everyone seemed to accept as the truth. I'm happy to say that the effort proved worthwhile, and that I became more focused and less confused once I made the difficult transition from being a Pauline Christian to a Messianic/Jewish Christian, along the lines of the Jesus's successor, James the Just. There are two flaws with Paul's approach: the first being that it is not based on the teaching of Jesus, and the second being that it is designed to propagate a mixture of superstitious belief and secular humanistic practice. |
