What Happened to the Founder of Christianity? PDF Print E-mail
The question of the day is what happened to the founder of Christianity? What happened to the so-called apostle Paul? Well if you ask any Christian this question, I'm sure you will get the usual response, but the story surrounding Paul's death is not a fact, but rather a myth. There is no more historical truth to this claim than any of the other legends created by the Christian church, so lets look at some of the information from the first century, and see if we can can see what really happened to the so-called apostle to the gentiles.

First of all let's look in the New Testament and see if we can find out what happened to Paul. The last we hear of Paul in Acts chapter 28, he is appealing to his good friend Caesar, and he is put on house arrest for his own protection, because the Jewish/Christians are after him once again. But when we move to chapter 29 in the book of Acts, which by the way does not appear in modern day Bible translations, we get an entirely different view of Paul, because he is no longer under house arrest, but in Europe deceiving people through his false signs and lying wonders, which Yahushua warned us about. The New Testament pretty much leaves us hanging at this point, so this really doesn't really help us out to much, so let's look at some other sources from the first century and see what we can find out what happened to Paul.

The first story we have concerning Paul's death is your typical church version, which states that Paul was martyred in 68 AD, which just happens to be the same year Emperor Nero committed suicide, so this story is very unhistorical to say the least. I wouldn't put in more trust in this story than any of the other myths created by the Christian church, so this story doesn't leave us with reliable answers, but with the same old lies that we have been getting from the Christian church for almost two thousand years.

The next story we have is even more unhistorical than the first one, if that is even possible. The second story states that Paul was hunted down by Emperor Nero in the woods, and killed like a wild animal. This again is just another fable created by the early Pauline church to try and answer peoples questions about what happened to their beloved founder, but this long forgotten myth does nothing to help us answer our question about what really happened to the true founder of the Christian church.

Well so far we have looked at all of the available ancient sources, so let's take a look at the opinions of the scholars of modern times. Many of the scholars in recent times, such as Hyam Maccoby have stated that Paul provably lived under Roman protection until he died of old age, and I would have to agree that this is the most likely explanation to our question. This explanation not only answers our question about what happened to Paul, but it also explains why the Jewish/Christians were never able to get their hands on Paul. Paul was a Herodian, and he used his power and influence to not only protect himself from the Jewish/Christians, but to also eliminate James the Just and his followers, because once they were dead and gone, Paul and the Roman government was free to create one of the biggest pagan mystery cults that the world has ever seen.
