Even More Failed Prophecies of the New Testament

The so-called prophecies that are written in Matthew 24, including the destruction of the Temple, really aren't prophecies at all because they were written after the events had already occurred.

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. - Matthew 24:14

The Gospel has been preached to the entire world for two thousand years, and the end has not yet come.

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. - Matthew 24:21

This verse is not a prophecy of the distant future.  It refers to the Christian persecutions during the first century.  The world has certainly seen far worse tragedies since this verse was written.

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.  - Matthew 24:29-31

This was written by the author after the Christian persecutions in the hope that Jesus would make his second coming.

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer [is] nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, [even] at the doors. - Matthew 24:32-33

This persecutions have come and gone, but nothing has happened.  The author of this book expected all of these things to occur in his lifetime.

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. - Matthew 24:34

This generation passed away, and dozens of others after them, but none of these things have occurred.

Do you still believe in the so-called New Testament now?

This is an antichrist spirit that inspired the above article. Repent.

There is no such thing as the Antichrist. Nothing can challenge God. You need to repent and quit worshiping a man before it is too late.
