Religions flowing out of the Bible 1 Year, 5 Months ago
It's quite remarkable that out of one Bible, such different religions have formed or rather flowed.

The teachings of Yeshua do not conform to other religions. Now take a look really, really closely at Genesis 2:10-14. You can actually see a remarkable foretelling / prophecy of certain religions/teachings that exist today, which flowed out of the Bible. Can you spot them? And which one do you think is that of the Son of God?

10And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

11The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

12And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

13And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

14And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

Interesting, I know and believe that the end is told from the beginning and Genesis has always been my favorite book and the one I've studied the most. Revelation second, the beginning and the end.

I also have always been a bit of an entomologist, amateur at best but all words intrigue me, especially names in the Bible. There is meaning for those who search. So lets look at the names

Pishon- listed as the first, means to increase, it encompasses the 'land of gold' (heaven?)

Gihon - listed as the second, meaning bursting forth, a spring in Jerusalem (my preferred site of the garden) It is also where Solomon (Peace) was anointed King.

And Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him king in Gihon:

Hiddekel which is translated in some as the TIGRESS, means 'rapid'. It is in the land of Assyrian/Babylonia as Daniel is seen standing by this river in Daniel 10:4 10 days after Passover.

The forth has no de_script_ion or location, best known at the time this was written is best guess.

The second and the last seem to be the rivers mentioned to Abraham as the two borders of the land given in the covenant.

The Gihon could be the Nile which goes far in the land of Cush. And the Euphrates is the North eastern boundry.

What is in the middle of these two? The Hiddekel or Tigress.

The Tigres and the Euphrades are the borders of the place where mankind as a nation rebelled against G-d. It is where the tower of babel was built as well as the first religion was born.

So for that reason I would eliminate those two.

I'm really not getting any more on this right now Rodin, I am really tired though so may not be open to see what you see. Care to share?

Yechezel,

Thank you for your response, it is well researched. I will attempt to show via a few questions and raise a few points in _script_ure.

1) You have not mentioned the Onyx stone?

Onyx O"nyx, n. [L., fr. Gr. ? a claw, finger nail, a veined gem. See Nail, and cf. Onycha.]

1. (Min.) Chalcedony in parallel _layer_s of different shades of color. It is used for making cameos, the figure being cut in one _layer_ with the next as a ground. [1913 Webster]

2. Same as Mexican onyx. [PJC]

3. A deep jet-black color. [PJC]

Onyx marble, Mexican onyx, a banded variety of marble or calcium carbonate resembling onyx. It is obtained from Mexico in various colors ranging from white to deep black. [1913 Webster +PJC]

Then I will simply quote a website address - the content is not necessarily important for this now but the name is :

bible-basics-_layer_s-of-understanding.com

Do you see some relevance in the Onyx stone?

2) What is the relation between "Levi" and "Bdellium" mentioned in this verse?

3) Now another point

From:
http://www.waronline.org/en/IDF/intro/hebrew.htm

Hebrew is a "phonetic" language

What does that say about a _layer_ in the Bible?

"He who has ears to hear let him hear" Why would Yeshua say that if I am reading His Words? Is not another _layer_ also being inferred?

4) Now we see :

"Pison river" and "the whole land of Havilah"

You have not mentioned anything about this land? It's very important. Also read it aloud (Jer 36:6). An important clue about a place is in the name, of the place, and why this word was placed there - every word is there for a reason.

5) Right then I will refer you to a website, where I'm sure you'll see a whole lot more

Hi Rodin, I haven't had a chance yet to look at your _link_s, busy getting ready for Shabbat. I will look at these later but thought I would leave this _link_ for you to take a look at. While researching another project for someone I came upon this which looks quite interesting. Using what we have available now which we never had in the past to pinpoint ancient places in the Bible.

This site is on the Rivers of the Garden and has a Satellite photo that is quite interesting. Have a look and let me know what you think.
