Thank you for the wonderful things in your heart about this issue.

I believe that the early disciples and their family lived in a communal life so that the rich had no extra because they sold all and gave the money to community and the poor had nothing lack because their needs were taken care of. The apostles left the money and table things to the deacons so that they could forsake all that were barriers to preach the Gospel and pray.

Of course, when they went to preach to the lost sheep in the house of Israel, they followed the instruction of Yeshua, taking no money, nor extra clothes, even no meal with them. They were received by whoever was worthy of the peace and gospel. They ate whatever was presented to them. That might be the reason why Peter and John took nothing with them when they preached to Jews. Literally, they WERE of the same family.

However, I saw another picture in 3 John. John mentioned that the preachers took nothing of the gentiles. In this case, the local church received them in love when they traveled there to preach to the gentiles. They remained poor and might just carry a little from the assembly that received them, not from their possesion (they had no private possession) for the journey, not for their personal possesion, nor for their 'home' church treasury. During the evangelist journey, as in the Acts of John, they might give off some money or food to the poor they met. Of course, even gentile who was worthy of the peace and gospel would well receive them.

After all, because they forsaked all, and practised love one another in the family (community, assembly, or church of believers), they did not have the extra personal possession beyond what were with them in the journey.

Of course, to keep the commandments of GOD, the believers' community received the strangers (including the evangelists) in truth and in love and treated them with their needs when they passed by (Abraham and Lot did the same, as in genesis and the book of Jasher: they received strangers and highly honored them). I see this picture in 3 John. John condemned Diotrephes and praised Demetrius.

However, this has been very hard when the assembly of the believers no longer practise the communal life. Everyone has personal possestions not belonging to his brethren. The churches raise money not according to the law of love, and the money seldom goes to the poor in the church. Instead, it mostly goes to the pastors and other ministers as well church buildings. To me, if a pastor suffers anyone in his church living a more misery life than himself, he feeds himself, not the sheep.

TITHING has been a grand sin for a long while because it is illegal to tithe anything according not to the tithing law. When the early disciples fosaked all they possesed, they had no land to produce grains and animals to tithe. Even Paul never using tithing law to raise money, because it was illegal for anyone who is not a levite or priest to collect the tithe that should be produce and animals in the promised land that GOD gives them. The poor never tithes, because they have no land in the Israel. Ruth did not pay tithe for her gleaning because she was poor, living on the gleaning.
